Name of the organisation - this is to ensure we do not take on a case that could be a conflict of interest to us.
Is the case within our scope - Ensuring that the case is within our scope as mental health nurses is vital. You will not have to disclose too many details but what we are assessing is that the case is related to a mental health setting or a consumer with a mental health diagnosis.
Your deadline - When do you need us to have completed the report.
Will you require any other services such as a telehealth consult to be completed with the claimant.
Once we have agreed that the case is suitable we will ask for a letter of instruction to be sent along with documents of evidence pertaining to the case and your preferred template (if applicable).
We will send you a quote for our final fee prior to commencing the report.
Once we have an agreement we will complete the report and send it back to you prior to your stated deadline.
As registered nurses we are bound by the ethical and confidentiality code of conducts as set out by our professional standards and as members of the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). We are also required to ensure that we meet the requirements of the Expert Witness Code of Conduct relevant to the state the report is being requested from.
